187 No'lu Medrese Defteri'ne Göre İstanbul Medreseleri Nüfusu (1844)

Abstract

Türk-İslam devletlerinde önemli bir eğitim kurumu olan medreseler, Osmanlı Devleti'nde de önemini korumuştur. Yapmış olduğumuz çalışmada, 1844 yılına ait 187 nolu İstanbul Medreseleri Nüfus Defteriyle ilgili bilgiler verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Tezin giriş bölümünde medreselerin tarihi süreç içerisindeki gelişimi, Osmanlı Devleti'nde medreseler ve nüfus sayımı ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde defter hakkında tanıtıcı bilgiler verildikten sonra, isim, lakap, unvan, yaş ve fizikî özelliklerle ilgili bilgiler verilip, medreseler arası hareketlilik üzerinde durulmuştur. Aynı zamanda bu hususlarla ilgili bilgiler tablolar halinde gösterilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise İstanbul medreseleri hakkında genel bilgi verilip, 1844 yılı İstanbul medreselerine ait nüfus defterinin transkripti ile beraber, defterde bulunan medreseler hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir.

Madrases, important educational institutions in Turkish Islamic states, maintain their importance in the Ottoman Empire, too and enhance their effectiveness increasingly. In our work, it has been tried to give information related to the Census Notebook of No 187 Istanbul Madrases, belonging to the year of 1844. In the introductory part of the thesis, it has been given information on the development of madrases in the process of history, the madrases in the Ottoman Empire and census. After the introductory information related to the notebook in the first part, it has been given information about name, epithet, title, age and physical characteristics and has been put emphasis on the mobility among the madrases and the knowledge on this subject is also shown as charts. In the second part, it has been given general information about Istanbul Madrases, the transcription of the census notebook of Istanbul Madrases, belonging to the year of 1844 and the madrases in the notebook.
