EFFECTS OF FLUSHING FEEDING WITH CONCENTRATE SUPPORTED BYVITAMIN E ON PERFORMANCE IN GOATSABSTRACTIn this study, effects of addition of different levels of Vitamin E (0 mg/day: K0; 30mg/day: K1 and 45 mg/day: K2) to concentrate in flushing feeding on reproductive traits ofgoats and performance traits of their kids were investigated.Animal material was composed of 21 Akkeçi does aged 1.5-3 years, two teuger bucksand a billy goat. Roughage (vetch hay), commercial compound feed and Vitamin Epreparation (50 % DL-alpha tochoferol acetate in mash form) were used as feed material.Vitamin E addition did not effect feed consumption, live weight, live weight gain, pregnancy rate, fecundity rate, birth weight of kids, weaning weight and viability of kidsduring the 9 weeks containing the periods of pre-mating, mating and post-mating (P>0.05).There were significant differences (P<0.05) among K0, K1 and K2 groups in terms of single-birth and twin-birth ratios. Single-birth ratio decreased (P<0.05) and twin-birth rate increasedin K2 group.Key Words: Goat, Flushing, Vitamine E, Performance
