Abstract

Sprengel deformity is the congenital high scapula which occurs as a result of interruption of the normal caudal migration of scapula from its fetal position in the neck to its normal position in the upper posterior thorax. Congenital high scapula is often associated with numerous anomalies. Because it is not an isolated deformity, it is vital to examine the patient carefully. We present two sister cases of Sprengel deformity with associated anomalies and review the literature.
