Kur'an Kursu Öğrencilerinde Benlik Saygısı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; Samsun Canik İlçe Müftülüğü'ne bağlı beş gündüzlü Kur'an Kursu ve Samsun Tekkeköy İlçe Müftülüğü'ne bağlı yatılı kız ve erkek Kur'an Kurslarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin demografik farklılıkları, Kur'an Kursuna devam etme süreleri, medeni durum, yaş, cinsiyet gibi bazı değişkenlerle benlik saygıları arasında anlamlı ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Samsun'da Kur'an Kurslarında devam eden 111 kız ve erkek öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', Benlik Saygısı için 'Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği' kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi için SPSS 16 İstatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde kullanılan istatiksel işlemler; seçilen ölçek tipi ve araştırma hipotezleri dikkate alınarak seçilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda veriler çözümlenirken aritmetik ortalama, t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) scheffe testi ve korelasyon tekniklerden yararlanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda Kur'an Kursu öğrencilerinin benlik saygılarının yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Kur'an Kursu öğrencilerinin benlik saygısı; yaş, medeni durum, kur'an kursuna devam etme süreleri, cinsiyet değişkenleri ile arasındaki ilişki anlamlı bulunmamıştır. Bu araştırmadan elde edilen bulguların Kur'an kursu öğrencilerinin benlik saygılarının yükseltilerek eğitim düzeylerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik yapılacak çalışmalara katkı sağlayacağına inanılmaktadır. In this study, whether or not there is a meaningful relationship between the self-esteem of the students in accordance with some variables such as demographic differences, the duration of the Quran courses that they take, marital status, age and gender of the students that receive education in boarding Quran Courses for girls and boys which are dependent on the District Office of Mufti of Tekkeköy, Samsun and five day Quran Courses dependent on the District Office of Mufti of Canik, Samsun was researched. The sample of the research is composed of 111 female and male students who continue their Quran Courses in Samsun. The information of the research was acquired by means of the 'Personal Information Form' that was prepared by the researcher and the 'Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale' for Self-esteem. SPSS 16 Statistics Packaged Software was used for the analysis of the information. The statistical operation that were used for the analysis of the information were chosen taking account of the research hypotheses and the selected scale type. While making the data analysis in parallel with this, arithmetic mean, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), scheffe test and correlation techniques were made used of. As a result of the analysis, it was observed that the Self-esteem of the students of Quran Courses was high. The relationship between the self-esteem of the students of Quran Courses and the marital status, the duration of the Quran Courses that they take, and gender variables was not found meaningfull. It is believed that the findings acquired as a result of this research will contribute a lot to the studies to be carried out for the development of education levels of the students taking Quran Courses by increasing their self-esteem.
