Ebû Talib El-Mekkî ve Ebû Hamid Muhammed El-Gazalî'de Muhabbet Anlayışı

Abstract

Muhabbet tasavvuf hareketinin odak kavramlarından biridir. Ebû Talib Mekkî ve Gazalî'de Muhabbet kavramına eserlerinde önem vermişler, onu, en yüksek tasavvufî makam olarak tanımlamışlardır. Ebu Talib Mekkî, Gazalî'den önce yaşamış, tasavvuf düşüncesiyle ve özellikle muhabbet anlayışıyla Gazalî'yi etkilemiş bir sufidir. Her ikisinin ortak kaygısı ehli sünnet sınırları içinde bir muhabbet anlayışı ortaya koymaktır. Biz de çalışmamızda onların söz konusu amaç doğrultusunda ortaya koydukları muhabbet anlayışını tespit etmeye çalıştık. Böylelikle ehl-i sünnet tasavvufunun muhabbet yorumunu da tespit etmiş olduk. Çalışmamızda ayrıca Mekkî'nin Gazalî'ye olan etkisi ve Gazalî'nin Mekkî'den farklı yönlerini ortaya koyduk. Bunlara ek olarak her ikisinin sonraki dönemlere olan etkisine de çalışmamızda yer verdik. Neticede tasavvuf hareketinin genel eğilimiyle paralel olarak Mekkî ve Gazalî'nin tasavvuf düşüncelerinin merkezinde muhabbet kavramının olduğunu tespit etmiş bulunmaktayız.

Love is one of the focal terms used in the movement of Sufism or Islamic Mysticism. In their works, such Islamic thinkers or sufists as Abû Talib al-Makkî and al-Ghazalî put great emphasis on the term of love and defined it as the highest position or rank in sufism that can ever be reached. Abû Talib al-Makkî, who was the predecessor of al-Ghazalî, was a sufi who influenced al-Ghazali with his ideas of sufism and his understanding of love in particular. One crucial concern or worry they had in common was that they both created a new understanding of love in parallel with the Holy Koran and the sunnah, the practices of the prophet. The aim of this study is to identify and discover their unerstanding of love which they displayed in their works in line with the aim in question. Namely, in this study was made the identification of sufism in terms of Ehli Sunnah. In addition, this study also focuses on the influence al-Makkî created on al-Ghazali and al-Ghazali?s different aspects with respect to those of al-Makki. One other point emphasised in this study is their influence on their successors. The result obtained is that `love? as a sufistic term is placed in the center of al-Ghazalî and al-Makkî?s sufistic ideas in paralel with the general tendency dominant in the movement of sufism.
