Urinary tract infections are common healthy problem in childhood and are generally diagnosed in the first two years of life. Since infection in infancy often leads to kidney scarring, it is important that provision should be made for the prompt diagnosis and management of urinary tract infections in infancy. Complicated urinary tract infections occur in young children with congenital anomalies such as vesicouretheral reflux, obstructive malformations and may lead to long-time consequences such as end stage renal failure, hypertension, and pregnancy complications. Here, we reviewed the diagnosis and management of urinary tract infections in children.en_US
