Publication: Neonatal and Childhood Purpura Fulminans: Review of Seven Cases
Abstract
The cases of seven patients between the ages of seven days and three years with purpura fulminans have been reviewed. Causative agents in these newborns were Escherichia coli, Enterobacter, and Staphylococcus; in older children they were varicella and E. coli. The clinical findings, medical and surgical interventions, and outcomes of the cases are presented here.
