Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri İle Mahabharata Destanı'nda (ı ve Iı. Bölüm) Yer Alan Toplumsal Hayata Ait Motiflerin Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın konusu, 'Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri ile Mahabharata Destanı'nda (I ve II. Bölüm) Yer Alan Toplumsal Hayata Ait Motiflerin Karşılaştırılması' olarak belirlenmiştir. Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri ve Mahabharata Destanı, Stith Thompson'un 'Halk Edebiyatı Motif İndeksi (The Motif-Index of Folk Literature)' adlı eserinin 'Toplum' başlığına göre sınıflandırılmış ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacını, Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri ve Mahabharata Destanı'nda yer alan toplumsal hayata ait motiflerin karşılaştırması sonucunda, ortak motiflerdeki benzer ve farklılıkların ortaya koyulması oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 'Her iki metinde tespit edilen toplumsal hayata ait ortak motiflerin temelindeki benzerlik ve farklılıkların sebebi nedir?' sorusuna da cevap aranacaktır. Böylece Türk ve Hint toplumuna ait bu iki metin karşılaştırılacak ve yapılacak araştırmalara yol göstermesi bakımından da önem arz edecektir. Bu çalışmada belgesel kaynak tarama yöntemi yoluyla Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri ve Mahabharata Destanı'nda yer alan topluma ait motifler saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada model olarak esas aldığımız Stith Thompson'un Halk Edebiyatı Motif İndeksi'nin kuramsal zeminini de oluşturan karşılaştırmalı yöntem kullanılmıştır. Bununla beraber Muharrem Ergin'in çalışması olan 'Dede Korkut Kitabı' ve sadece iki bölümüne ulaşabildiğimiz Türkçeye çevirenin de 'Ayâsya' olduğu 'Mahabharata' esas alınarak çalışma sınırlandırılmış, elde edilen veriler ışığında analizlerde bulunulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma girişten sonra dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında araştırmanın konusu, amacı, önemi, kapsam ve sınırlılıkları, yöntemi ele alındıktan sonra Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri ve Mahabharata Destanı ile ilgili genel bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde destan kavramına genel bir bakış, ikinci bölümde Dede Korkut Hikâyeleri ve Mahabharata Destanı'nın olay örgüleri, üçüncü bölümde Stith Thompson'un 'Halk Edebiyatı Motif İndeksi (The Motif-Index of Folk Literature)' adlı eserinin 'Toplum' maddesinde yer alan motiflerin, metinlerin taranması sonucu ortaya çıkan listesi, dördüncü bölümde tespit edilen motiflerin karşılaştırılması yer almaktadır. Sonuç kısmında ise çalışmanın genel bir değerlendirmesi yapılarak Oğuz ve Hint toplum yapısının benzer ve farklı yönlerinin tespit edildiği vurgulanmıştır. Dede Korkut Tales and the Mahabharata Epic has been classified and compared according to title of 'Society' of Stith Thompson's 'The Motif-Index of Folk Literature'. The purpose of this study is to reveal the similarities and differences in the mutual motifs, as a result of the comparison of the motifs belongs social life in the Dede Korkut Tales and the Mahabharata Epic. In accordance with this purpose, it will be tried to find an answer to the question 'What is the reason for the similarities and differences in the basis of the mutual motifs belongs to social life that identified in both texts?' Thus, these two texts belonging to Turkish and Indian society will be compared and it will be important in terms of guiding the following researches. In this study, the motifs belongs to society that in the Dede Korkut Tales and the Mahabharata Epic has been tried to determine by the method of review research. Accordingly in this study, it was used the comparative method which also constitutes the theoretical basis of of Stith Thompson's 'The Motif-Index of Folk Literature'. Furthermore, the study has been limited by basing on the 'Dede Korkut' which is the study of Muharrem Ergin and 'Mahabharata' that we could only reached two sections of it and the translator of it in Turkish is 'Ayâsya', and it has been tried to make analysis in the light of obtained datas. This study consists of four parts after the introduction. In the introduction part, after the subject, purpose, importance, content, method and limitations of the study is discussed, it is provided general informations about the Dede Korkut Tales and the Mahabharata Epic. First part is a general overview of the concept of epic, second part includes the plots of Dede Korkut Tales and the Mahabharata Epic, third part includes the list that is emerged as a conclusion of scanning the texts and motifs that is in the title of 'Society'of Stith Thompson's 'The Motif-Index of Folk Literature'. Fourth part includes the comparison of the motifs that is detected. In the conclusion part, it has been emphasised the detection of similar and different sides of Oghuz and Indian society structure by making a general evaluation.
