Elmas Modeli ile Rekabet Analizine Yeni Bir İstatistiksel Yaklaşım ve Sektörel Uygulaması

Abstract

Rekabetçililik, son yıllarda sıklıkla kullanılan çok boyutlu bir kavramdır. Sektörlerin rekabetçiliğinin genel göstergeleri anlatıldıktan sonra rekabetçilik analizi için Michael E. Porter (1990) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Elmas Modeli (EM) tüm yönleriyle incelenmiştir. EM sektörün, ulusal ve uluslar arası rekabet üstünlüğünü belirleyen faktörleri sistematik olarak ortaya koymak için küresel rekabetin unsurlarını bir sistem yaklaşımı içinde analiz eden bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmanın ilk bölümünde tezin amacı ve literatür araştırması kapsamlı bir şekilde verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Rekabet Analizin (RA) de kullanılan EM faktörlerinin belirlenmesindeki yöntem, Hipotez Testleri ve Güvenilirlik Analizi (GA) detaylı bir şekilde verilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ise Samsun İlinde imalat sanayinin lokomotiflerinden olan 'Tıbbi Cihaz İmalatı Sektörü' için, faktör katsayıları belirlenmiş ve Rekabet Katsayısı (RK) hesaplanmıştır. Adı geçen sektör, Samsun ve Türkiye ortalaması karşılaştırması geliştirilen bir ölçekle değerlendirilmiştir. Son bölümde ise elde edilen analizlerin modele eklenerek sektörün RA yapılarak rekabet yapısını üzerinde durulmuştur. EM ve modele yapılan katkılar anlatıldıktan sonra gelecek çalışmalar için öneriler sunulmuştur. Competitiveness is a multidimensional concept that often used in recent years. After explaining the general indicators of sectorial competitiveness, the Diamond Model (DM) developed by Michael E. Porter (1990) was investigated with all aspects. DM is a method that analyses the global competition ingredients with a system approach for systematically introducing the factors that determine the national and global competition superiority of the sector. In first section of this study, the aim of the thesis and literature research given extensively. In second section, the methods, hypothesis test and reliability analysis (RA) that used in competitive analysis (CA) at determining DM given extensively. In third section of the study, the factor coefficients was determined for 'Medical Device Manufacturing Sector' which is the engine of manufacturing industry in Samsun city and competition coefficient calculated. The mentioned sector was evaluated with a scale that compares the average of Samsun and Turkey. In last section, with addition of the obtained analysis and performing the CA of the sector and it is emphasized on competition structure.
