Abstract
Araştırmaya katılan üniversite öğrencilerinin Ahlaki Olgunluk Ölçeği'nden almış oldukları puanlar normal dağılım göstermiş olduğundan verilerin analizinde parametrik istatistiksel hipotez testlerinden ilişkisiz örneklemler t-testi (Independent Samples T-Test) ve ilişkisiz örneklemler tek yönlü varyans analizi (One-Way ANOVA) kullanılmıştır.
In this study, the moral maturity levels of university students were examined in terms of some variables. The study is a quantitative study using screening and causal comparison models. In the study, the moral maturity level of university students was considered as the dependent variable; the gender, age, type of high school they graduated from, type of program they studied, grade level they studied in, perception of academic success, place of residence where they spent most of their lives, perception of maternal attitude, perception of paternal attitude and perception of family economic status were considered as independent variables. The universe of the study consisted of university students studying at Ondokuz Mayıs University in May 2023. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 837 university students selected from the research universe by random sampling. The data of the study were collected using the Personal Information Survey and Moral Maturity Scale and analyzed with the SPSS program. The Moral Maturity Scale developed by Kaya and Şengün (2007) for the high school sample and adapted to the university sample by Kaya and Aydın (2011) was used in the study. Since the scores of the university students participating in the study from the Moral Maturity Scale showed a normal distribution, the Independent Samples T-Test and One-Way ANOVA, which are parametric statistical hypothesis tests, were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results obtained from the study, the moral maturity levels of university students showed a significant difference according to gender, age, type of school they attended, perception of academic success, place of residence where they spent most of their lives, perception of mother's attitude and perception of father's attitude. No significant difference was found between the moral maturity levels of university students according to the type of high school they graduated from, the grade level they studied in and perception of family economic status.
