II. Abdülhamid Döneminde Merâsim Mûsikîsi

Abstract

Osmanlı döneminde saray, cami ve tekkelerde inkişaf eden merâsimler mûsikî eşliğinde icrâ edilegelmişlerdir. Yapılan akademik çalışmalarda, bu merâsimlerin mûsikî yönü yeterince incelenmemiştir. Arşiv belgeleri, salnameler ve dönemi anlatan tarihi kaynaklardan istifade edilerek hazırlanan bu çalışmada, II. Abdülhamid döneminin dînî ve kültürel içerikli merâsim icrâları ele alınmış, dönemin merâsim icrâlarında görev yapmış önemli mûsikîşinaslar ve bu mûsikîşinasların merâsimlere katkıları incelenmiştir. Bu nitel araştırma, durum çalışması desenine göre kurgulanmış, arşiv belgelerinin doküman analizi yaklaşımı ile incelenerek hazırlanmıştır. Bu tezde, II. Abdulhamid Saltanatı bir 'durum' olarak ele alınmış, dönemin dini ve kültürel içerikli merasim musikîsi ve teşrifatı konu edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda ortaya çıkan bulgular, geçmiş merâsim icrâlarında görülen içerik zenginliğinin günümüz icrâlarında eksik olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu çalışmanın bulgularından hareketle, araştırmanın sonuç kısmında Osmanlı dönemi merâsim icrâlarının bugün ne anlam ifade ettiği tartışılmış ve günümüz icrâlarının gelişmesine yönelik nasıl katkı sunabilecekleri hakkında öneriler sunulmuştur. Bu çalışma, Osmanlı dönemi merâsim icrâlarının daha iyi anlaşılabilmesine ve günümüz icrâlarının tarihi derinlik ve zenginlik boyutunun gelişmesine önemli katkılar sunabilir. Ceremonies that were developed in palaces, mosques and dervish lodges during the Ottoman period have been performed along with music up to the present. Academic studies on this topic have not sufficiently explored the musical aspects of these ceremonies. Drawing on archival documents, annuals and other historical sources giving details about the period, this study scrutinised the musical and ceremonial aspects of religious and cultural musical performances, which were staged in ceremonies during the reign of Abdulhamid the second. It also explored the musicians who took part in these ceremonial music performances of the period and the contributions of these musicians to the ceremonies. Framed as a case study, this qualitative research is completed by examining a set of archival documents following document analysis method. In this thesis, Abdulhamid the second reign is defined as 'case', and the musical and ceremonial aspects of religious and cultural music performances of the period are explored. The findings of this study suggest that musical performances in today's ceremonies lack content richness that was an explicit feature of Ottoman past ceremonies. Relying on the findings of this study, the conclusion section of the study discusses what meaning the ceremony-music performances of the Ottoman past might have today and makes suggestions in relation to their contributions to the improvement of today's ceremony-music performances. This study may offer significant contributions to having a better understanding of the ceremony-music performances of the Ottoman past and enhancing the historical depth and richness of today's ceremony-music performances.
