1997-2019 Yılları Arasında Türkiye'de Yüksek Din Öğretimi

Abstract

Türkiye'de yüksek din öğretiminin tarihine baktığımızda cumhuriyet ile başladığı; ancak tam manasıyla üniversite bünyesinde bir yükseköğretim kurumu olarak kabul görmesinin yarım asırdan fazla bir süre sonra, 1982'de gerçekleştiği görülmüştür. 1949 yılında kurulan Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi yüksek din öğretimi için üniversiteleşmeye dair atılmış önemli bir adım olsa da mevcut tüm Yüksek İslam Enstitülerinin ve Erzurum Atatürk Üniversitesi İslami İlimler Fakültesi'nin ilahiyat fakültesine dönüştürülmesiyle daha istikrarlı bir döneme geçilmiştir. Fakat bu dönem de uzun sürmemiş; 1990'ların sonuna doğru, ilahiyat fakülteleri için birçok şeyin yoluna girdiği bir dönemde, yaşanan postmodern darbe süreci ve buna bağlı olarak meydana gelen siyasi değişimler bu kurumları derinden etkilemiştir. Söz konusu süreç ile birlikte yeni sorunlar ile mücadele etmek zorunda kalan bu kurumlar, birtakım kısıtlamaların ve zorlamaların kıskacında eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerini sürdürmeye devam etmiştir. 2000'li yıllara gelindiğinde ise değişen siyasi yapı, yüksek din öğretimi kurumları için de birtakım değişiklikleri beraberinde getirmiş; bu sefer süreç tersine işlemeye başlamıştır. Bugün gelinen noktada yüksek din öğretimi yine eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerini sürdürürken aynı zamanda birtakım sorunlar ve problemlerle mücadele etmek zorundadır. Her ne kadar 1990'ların sonundaki kısıtlamalar kısa bir süre içerisinde yerini ayrıcalıklara bırakmış olsa da bu kurumların sorunları azalmamış, sadece yön değiştirmiştir.

When we look at the history of higher religious education in Turkey it was the start of the republic; however, its acceptance as a higher education institution within the university took place in 1982, more than half a century after this. Although Ankara University Faculty of Theology, founded in 1949, was an important step towards university education for higher religious education, a more stable period has been started with the conversion of all existing higher Islamic institutes and Erzurum Atatürk University Faculty of Islamic Sciences into a theology faculty. But this period did not last long; towards the end of the 1990s, at a time when many things worked for faculties of theology, the postmodern coup process and the political changes that occurred accordingly affected these institutions. These institutions, which had to struggle with new problems with the mentioned process, continued their education activities with in some restrictions and enforcements. In the 2000s, the changing political structure brought along some changes for higher religious education institutions; this time the process started to reverse. At the point reached today, while high religious education continues its educational activities, it has to struggle with some issues and problems at the same time. Although the restrictions in the late 1990s were replaced by privileges within a short period of time, the problems of these institutions did not decrease, only changed direction.
