S,S′-Bis(Methoxycarbonylmethyl)dithioglyoxime Monohydrate

Abstract

The title compound, dimethyl [1,2-bis(hydroxyimino)ethane1,2-diyl] dithiodiacetate monohydrate, C<inf>8</inf>H<inf>12</inf>N<inf>2</inf>O <inf>6</inf>S<inf>2</inf>·H<inf>2</inf>O, consists of a polymeric arrangement of molecules linked through O-H⋯OWand OW-HW⋯O hydrogen bonds. All these hydrogen-bond interactions result in the formation of infinite layers parallel to the (110) plane. The oxime group has an E configuration. The molecule has a twofold axis passing through the mid-point of the central C-C bond.
