Publication: Bireyselleştirilmiş Antrenman Programına Katılan Kadınların Yaşam Doyumu ve Egzersiz Bağımlılıklarının Araştırılması
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the quality of life and exercise addiction of women participating in an individualized exercise program. A total of 164 women with a mean age of 32.58 ± 8.24 years participated in the study. The Exercise Addiction Scale developed by Tekkurşun-Demir et al. (2018), the Life Satisfaction Scale developed by Diener et al. (1985) and adapted into Turkish by Köker (1991) were used as data collection tools. T-test was used to compare paired groups, ANOVA was used to compare more than two groups, and Tukey multiple comparison test was used to determine the difference when there was a difference. As a result of the analyses, when the life satisfaction scores and exercise addiction total scores were compared according to the age variable, the participants aged 32 years and over were higher than those aged 24-27 and 28-31 years (p=0.001). When the participants' life satisfaction and exercise addiction values were compared according to their years of sport, they found that those who had been doing sport for ten years and more had higher scores than the other groups (p=0.004 and p<0.001). When the participants' life satisfaction and exercise addiction values were compared according to their years of sport, it was found that those who had been doing sport for ten years or more had higher scores than the other groups (p=0.004 and p<0.001). When life satisfaction was compared according to the participants' satisfaction with their physical condition, the scores of those who were satisfied and partially satisfied were higher (p=0.002). There is no difference in exercise addiction according to the variable of being satisfied with their physical condition (p>0.05). According to the results obtained, it can be said that participation in individualized training programs positively affects life satisfaction. It was determined that being satisfied with physical appearance positively affected life satisfaction. It can be stated that individualized training programs may have positive effects, and programs tailored to the participants have more positive results.
