Çocuk Diş Hekimliğinde Kullanılan Lokal Anestezi Teknikleri ve Güncel Yaklaşımlar

Abstract

Lokal anestezi periferal sinirlerde iletimin baskılanması veya sinir sonlanmalarındaki uyarının azalmasına bağlı olarak vücudun belli bir bölgesinde oluşan duyu kaybıdır. Bununla beraber, hem çocuk hem de yetişkin hastalarda, dental tedavi sırasında anksiyeteyi en fazla arttıran işlem dental enjeksiyondur. Restoratif veya cerrahi işlemler sırasında ağrı deneyimi olan çocuklar gelecekte diş tedavisi yaptırmaktan kaçınabilirler. Bu nedenle her randevuda ağrının kontrolü ve hastanın rahatsızlığının en aza indirilmesi önemlidir. Bu makalenin amacı, çocuk diş hekimliğinde kullanılan mevcut lokal anestezi teknikleri ve güncel teknikler hakkında bilgi sunmaktadır.

Local anesthesia has been defined as a loss of sensation in a circumscribed area of the body caused by a depression of excitation in nerve endings or an inhibition of the conduction process in peripheral nerves. Anxiety is one of the major issues in the dental treatment of children, and the injection is the most anxiety-provoking procedure for children and adults. If children experience pain during restorative or surgical procedures, their future as dental patients may be damaged. Therefore it is important at each visit to reduce discomfort to a minimum and to control painful situations. The aim of this article is present conventional and current methods of local anesthesia in pediatric dentistry.
