In this study, six new unsymmetrical vic-dioximes, N-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)aminomethylglyoxime ((LH2)-H-1), N-(3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)aminomethyl-glyoxime ((LH2)-H-2), N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)aminomethyl glyoxime ((LH2)-H-3), N-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)aminophenylglyoxime ((LH2)-H-4), N-(3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)-aminophenylglyoxime ((LH2)-H-5) and N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)aminophenylglyoxime ((LH2)-H-6) have been synthesized from chloromethylglyoxime or chlorophenylglyoxime and the corresponding substituted aromatic amines. The Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of these ligands were prepared. The structures of these new ligands and their complexes are proposed based upon IR, UV-Vis, H-1 NMR spectral data, magnetic measurements, and elemental analyses.en_US
