In this study, alexithymia in patients with psoriasis was examined. Frequencies of alexithymia among patients and healthy subjects were 62.2 percent and 41.7 percent respectively. The difference between these frequencies was not statistically significant. But the Toronto Alexithymia Scale scores were higher in the psoriasis group than those in the control group. Thus, alexithymic properties of the patient with psoriasis were found to be more frequent than those of healthy subjects.en_US
