Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Akıllı Telefon Kullanımı ile Sosyal İlişkileri

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; ortaokul öğrencilerinin akıllı telefon bağımlılığı ve sosyal ilişki unsurlarını incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini evrenini 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında Samsun ilinin Bafra ilçesindeki ortaokullarda öğrenim gören 441 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamındaki veriler Ergenler İçin Akıllı Telefon Bağımlılığı Ölçeği, Sosyal İlişki Unsurları Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılarak toplanmış ve SPSS 23 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Mann Whitney U testi ile Kruskal Wallis testi kullanılmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişki Spearman korelasyonu ile incelenmiştir.Çalışma sonucunda Ortaokul öğrencilerinin akıllı telefon bağımlılığı ile aile destek puanları arasında negatif yönlü ilişki olduğu, arkadaş destek puanları arasında ise anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı bulunmuştur. Cinsiyete değişkenine göre akıllı telefon bağımlılığının anlamlı bir fark göstermediği, ancak aile desteği ve arkadaş desteğine göre fark gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Sınıf değişkenine göre akıllı telefon bağımlılığı arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu, ancak aile ve arkadaş desteğin sınıf değişkenine göre fark göstermediği bulunmuştur. Yine anne eğitim durumuna göre telefon bağımlılığı ve aile desteği arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı, ancak arkadaş desteğinin anne eğitimine göre farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Benzer şekilde baba eğitim durumuna göre telefon bağımlılığı ve arkadaş desteği arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı, ancak aile desteğinin baba eğitimine göre farklılık gösterdiği bulunmuştur. The purpose of this research is to examine the smart phone addiction and social relations of the students at middle school students. The sample of the research consists 441 students studying in the middle schools of Bafra district of Samsun in 2016-2017 education year. The data in the research were collected using the Smartphone Addiction Scale, Provision of Social Relationship Scale and Personal Information Form, and analyzed and interpreted using the SPSS 23 package program. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used in the analysis of the data. The relationship between variables was examined by Spearman's correlation. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a negative relationship between the smartphone addiction and the family support scores of the middle school students and there was no significant relationship in the friendship support scores. It was determined that smart phone dependency did not show any significant difference according to the genital variance, but showed difference according to family support and friend support. According to class variable, it was found that there was a meaningful difference in smartphone depedency however it wasn't differ in family and friend support. It was resulted that according to the education level of the mother, there was no significant difference between phone depedency and family but to mother education, it was differ in support of friends. Similarly, there was no significant difference between telephone dependence and friendship support according to father education status, but family support was found to vary according to father education. The results of the research were discussed and suggested in the light of the related literature. Key Words :Middle School Students, Smartphone Addiction, Family Support, Friend Support
