Abstract
The acute toxicity of zinc, copper and lead to the marine invertebrate Idotea baltica (Crustacea, Isopoda) was evaluated by static bioassays, calculating the LT50 (lethality time for 50%) for males and females. Survival time decreased with increasing concentrations of zinc, copper and lead. Zinc was more toxic to Idotea than copper and lead. Lead was the least toxic of the metals tested.
