Cumhuriyet Dönemi Kadın Sanatçıların Resim Öğretimindeki Rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk kadın sanatçıları araştırılmıştır. Bu kadın sanatçılar, Osmanlı devletinin son döneminde yetişmiş ve yeni Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin temelini oluşturmada kadının üstlendiği rolü en iyi şekilde temsil etmiştir. Cumhuriyet dönemi kadınını daha iyi anlayabilmek için Cumhuriyet öncesi dönemden, yaşanan tarihi ve sosyal gelişmelerden ve kadının tarihsel süreçteki yerinden bahsetmek gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle çalışmada, bu konulara yer verilmiştir.Bu çalışmada, tarihsel süreçte kadın sanatçıların sanatçı ve eğitimci olarak toplumdaki konumu vurgulanmak istenmiştir. Ayrıca, toplumun değişen yapısı içersinde nasıl bir değişim yaşadıkları ve nasıl ilerledikleri araştırılarak, sanata, sanat eğitimine katkıları değerlendirilmiştir. Cumhuriyet dönemi kadın sanatçılar, oldukça geniş ve kapsamlı bir konudur. Bu nedenle bu çalışma, Tanzimat Dönemi'nden Cumhuriyet'in ilk on yılına kadar olan süreç ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Cumhuriyet öncesi ve Cumhuriyet dönemi kadının toplumdaki yeri, dönemlerin eğitim politikaları, kadının eğitim sürecine katılımı, sanat eğitimi ve önemli kurumlar, bu çalışmada ele alınmıştır.Çalışma, literatür taraması şeklinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma süresince, kadın sanatçılarla ilgili kaynakların sınırlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu nedenle güncel yayınlar da takip edilmiştir.

In this study, Turkish Women Artists have been researched. They have been educated in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and have played an important role in forming the foundation of the Turkish Republic. In order to understand Turkish Republican Woman, it is necessary to mention the prerepublic period, the historical and social improvements and the place of women in historical process.In this study, it is aimed to emphasize the position of the women artists as an artist and educator in the society within historical process. Researching what kind of changes they have experienced and how they have improved within the changing society, their contribution to art and the art education have been considered. Women Artists in Republic period is considerably broad and comprehensive subject. Therefore, this study is restricted with a duration from the term of Administrative reforms to the first decade of the Republic. In this study, the place of women in prerepublic and republic period, the educational policies of the periods, contributions of the women in education process, art education and substantial foundations have been discussed.The study has been executed by literature scanning. During the study, it has been determined that resources related to women artists are restricted. Therefore contemporary periodicals have been studied.
