dc.description.abstractIn this study 387 Odonata specimens were collected and identified from the vicinity of streams and puddles in Kurupelit. Samsun, Turkey, between May and October 2002-2005. In all, 27 species from 17 genera belonging to 9 families were identified, 9 of which (Coenagrion scitulum, Ischnura elegans ebneri, Aeshna affinis, Aeshna isosceles antehumeralis, Anax parthenope, Hemianax ephippiger, Libellula depressa, Libellula fulva, and Orthetrum brunneum) are new records for the Odonata fauna of Samsun. This study includes faunistic and distributional records of the 27 species.en_US
