Cinsiyete ve Ait Olma Düzeylerine Göre Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Geleceğe Yönelik Tutumları

Abstract

Temel bir gereksinim olarak ait olma ihtiyacının doyurulması; kabul edilme ve onaylanma hissi ile mutluluğu, iyilik halini beraberinde getirmekte ve bireyin geleceğini sağlıklı bir biçimde şekillendirmesine destek olmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, cinsiyete ve ait olma düzeylerine göre üniversite öğrencilerinin geleceğe yönelik tutumları incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla 800 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşan örneklemden, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Ait Olma Ölçeği ve Geleceğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilen verilerin analizi ile araştırmanın denenceleri test edilmiştir. Bulgular, üniversite öğrencilerinin geleceğe yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyete göre anlamlı olarak değişmediğini göstermiştir. Ait olma düzeylerine göre incelendiğinde, aileye, arkadaş grubuna ve mesleğe ait olma düzeyleri yüksek olan üniversite öğrencilerinin geleceğe yönelik tutumlarının daha olumlu, daha planlı ve daha az kaygılı olduğu bulunmuştur. İlgili bulgular alanyazın desteği ve benzer araştırma sonuçlarıyla birlikte tartışılmış, bu doğrultuda ileride yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutabilecek, alanda çalışan psikolojik danışmanlara ve diğer araştırmacılara yardımcı olabilecek önerilere yer verilmiştir. The gratification of the need to belong as a basic need brings happiness and well-being with feeling of acceptence and approval and supports individuals to shape the future in a healthy way. In this study, attitudes of university students towards to future were examined according to their gender and belonging levels. For this purpose, research hypotheses were tested with analysis of the data obtained from a sample of consisting of 800 university students by using the Personal Information Form, Belonging Scale and Attitudes of Future Scale. Findings showed that the future attitudes of university students were not significantly change according to gender. When analyzed according to their level of belonging, university students with high level of belonging to family, friends group and professional were found more positive, more planned and less anxious towards the future. Findings were discussed with the literature and the results of similar research and in this direction recommendations were given that could shed light on future studies and could help counselors and other researchers.
