Abstract

The molecule of the title compound, C14H12BrNO2, crystallizes in a zwitterionic form, with a strong intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 9.3 (3)degrees. Intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds generate C(8) chains running parallel to the [100] direction.
