Background: A term infant with congenital limb reduction and nail defect is described. Case Report: The baby was one of two conceived following in vitro fertilization. During the pregnancy, multifetal pregnancy reduction was attempted. Congenital limb reduction and nail defect is an important complication which parents should be warned about. Conclusion: We hypothesize that the congenital limb reduction and nail defect observed in this infant was most likely a result of direct trauma during the selective reduction. © Pol J Gyn Invest., 2005.en_US
