Cihad Fethi Tevetoğlu ve Cumhuriyet Senatosu Faaliyetleri

Abstract

Fethi Tevetoğlu, 73 yıllık hayatına, tıbbı, politikayı sığdırmış, bunları Türkçülük fikri yolunda entegre etmiş bir dava adamı, bir askerdir. Kendisi 31 Ocak 1916 yılında İstanbul'da doğmuştur. Ailesi ve çevresinin Türkçülük düşüncesinin yoğrulmasında büyük etkisi olan Tevetoğlu, ilkokul yıllarında yazarlık hayatına başlamış, Kopuz dergisi ile Samsun'un edebi hayatının şekillenmesinde büyük etkisi olmuştur. Milli Mücadele'nin başladığı şehrin Samsun olması, gerek bu şehrin gerekse bu şehrin onun üzerindeki 'Milliyetçi' duygularının harmanlanmasındaki etkisi büyüktür. 1942 tarihinde Samsun'da 90 Piyade Alayı'nda baştabip olarak askeri hayatına başlayan Tevetoğlu, düşünceleri nedeniyle 1944 Türkçülük-Turancılık davasında 19 Haziran 1944 günü yargılanmış, 11 ay 20 günlük hapis döneminin ardından beraat etmiştir. Bu durum O'nu davasına daha sıkı bağlamış, bundan sonraki yaşamında siyasi açıdan Komünizm düşüncesine karşı Türkçülük fikrini hep en yüksekte tutmuştur. Tevetoğlu'nun şair, yazar, araştırmacı kimliğini Türkçü Turancı düşünceyle birleştirmiş, Ziya Gökalp, Mehmet Emin Yurdakul onun ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Siyasi hayatı, 1957 yılında Demokrat Parti Samsun İl Başkanı olarak başlamıştır. 1961-1974 yılları arasında Samsun Cumhuriyet Senatörü olmuş ayrıca İslam Ülkeleri Konferansı Başkan Yardımcılığı, Parlamento Dış İlişkiler Komisyonu Başkanlığı, Müslüman Mültecileri Kalkındırma Vakfı Genel Başkanlığı, Türk Ocakları Eğitim ve Kültür Vakfı Genel Başkanlığı gibi görevlerde bulunmuştur. Senatör olarak görev yaptığı sekiz yıl boyunca Türk dış politikası hususunda özellikle ABD ve Kıbrıs konularında gündemde yer alan Tevetoğlu'nun bütçeler konusunda da yönlendirici çalışmaları olmuştur. Döneminin öğrenci ve işçi hareketleri konusunda gündem belirleyici ateşli konuşmalar yapan Fethi Tevetoğlu 27 Kasım 1989 tarihinde hayatını kaybetmiştir. Fethi Tevetoğlu is one who was a soldier and one who worked constantly for the sake of an ideal that he put medicine and policy into his 73 years of life and also he integrated them into the idea of Turkism. He was born on 31 January 1916 in Istanbul. Tevetoğlu, who had a great influence on the formation of Turkism in his family and environment, started writing life in elementary school years and had a great impact on the shape of the literary life of Samsun with Kopuz Magazine. Samsun is the city where the National Struggle began and so, the magnitude of the effect of blending 'Nationalist' feelings on each other could not be ignored. Tevetoğlu, who started his military life as a chief-doctor to the 90th Infantry Regiment in Samsun in 1942, was tried in the case of 1944 Turkism-Turanism on June 19, 1944 for his thoughts and he was acquitted after 11 months and 20 days of imprisonment. This tied him up more tightly to his aim and in the next life he always kept the idea of Turkism politically against the idea of Communism. Tevetoğlu has combined his poet, writer and researcher identity with Turkic-Turanian thought and also Ziya Gökalp and Mehmet Emin Yurdakul were an inspiration to him. He started his political life in 1957 as President of Samsun Province from Democrat Party. He became Republican Senator of Samsun between 1961 and 1974 years. Also, He served as Vice President of the Conference of Islamic Countries, Presidency of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission, General President of Muslim Refugee Development Foundation and General President of the Foundation for Education and Culture of Turkish Hearths. During his eight years as a senator, he also made some directing studies on Turkish foreign policy, especially on the US and Cyprus issues and furthermore on the budget on the agenda.
