Tekkeköy İlçesinin Turizm Coğrafyası (Samsun)

Abstract

Turizm Coğrafyası bilim dalının esaslarına göre araştırılan Tekkeköy ilçesi, Karadeniz Bölgesi'nin Orta Karadeniz Bölümü'nde Samsun ilinin merkez ilçelerinden biridir. Tekkeköy ilçe merkezi Samsun Çarşamba karayolunun 13.km'den güneye doğru 1 km içeride yer almaktadır. İlçe toprakları doğudan ve güneydoğudan Çarşamba, güneybatıdan Asarcık ilçeleri, batıdan Canik ilçesi ve kuzeyden Karadeniz ile çevrili olup, 41°12'45''Kuzey enlemi ile 36°27'25'' Doğu boylamında yer almaktadır. Yüzölçümü 345 km² olan ilçe toprakları il topraklarının %3,7'lik bölümünü oluşturmaktadır. Arkeolojik bulgulara göre Tekkeköy ilçesinde yerleşme tarihinin M.Ö. 60.000-10.000 aralığında, Tekkeköy mağaraları mevkiinde başladığı anlaşılmaktadır. Tarihsel süreç içinde farklı kültür ve medeniyetleri barındıran ilçe, kiliseler, camiler, çeşmeler, mezar alanları, su değirmenleri, şelaleler, tabiat parkı ve ormanlık alanlar gibi pek çok turistik kaynak barındırmaktadır. Tekkeköy sahip olduğu elverişli doğa koşulları ve turistik kaynakları ile değerlendirilmeyi bekleyen önemli bir turizm potansiyeline sahiptir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle Tekkeköy'ün turizme kaynaklık edebilecek fiziki, beşeri ve ekonomik coğrafya özellikleri ele alınmış, bu kaynakların mevcut durumları incelenerek turizm açısından nasıl değerlendirilebileceği belirtilmiş, ardından sürdürülebilir kullanım şekillerinin neler olabileceği hakkında önerilerde bulunulmuştur.Coğrafi araştırma metotları uygulanarak elde edilen veriler analiz-sentez sürecinde yorumlanmış, sahanın doğal, beşeri ve kültürel turistik değerleri, bunların potansiyelleri ve mekânsal dağılımı, turizm çeşitleri, turist talebi ve turistik altyapı imkânları değerlendirilmiş, gelecekte Tekkeköy'ün önemli bir turizm mekânı olabilmesi için neler yapılması gerektiği hakkında coğrafi bakış açısıyla önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Tekkeköy District, which is researched according to the principles of tourism geography science, is one of the central districts connected to Samsun Province in the Black Sea Region. Tekkeköy District Center is located 1 km inland from the south of 13th km of Çarşamba highway. The district is surrounded by the Çarşamba from east and southeast, Asarcık from southwest, Canik District from west and Black Sea from north. The district is located in 41°12'45'' North latitude and 36°27'25'' East longitude. The area is 345 km² and district lands constitute %3.7 of province territory. According to the archaeological findings, It is understood the settlement date in the district of Tekkekoy, started at Tekkekoy caves in the range of 60.000-10.000 BC. In the historical process, it's known that the district harbors different cultures and civilizations, also has many tourist resources such as churches, mosques, fountains, grave areas, water mills, waterfalls, natural park and forest areas. Tekkeköy has important tourism potential waiting to be evaluated with its convenient natural conditions and tourist resources. In this study, first of all, the physical, human and economic geography characteristics of Tekkeköy that could be a source of tourism were discussed. The current situation of these resources being examined, and then suggestions are made on how to evaluate tourism and how to use them sustainably. The data obtained by applying geographic research methods were interpreted in the analysis-synthesis process, the natural, human and cultural touristic values of the site, their potentials and spatial distribution, types of tourism, tourist demand and touristic infrastructure opportunities were evaluated. In the future, from a geographical point of view suggestions have been made about what should be done in order to make Tekkeköy an important tourist destination.
