Birleştirilmiş Sınıflarda Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimindeki Sorunlar

Abstract

Birlestirilmis sınıflar birden fazla sınıfın aynı ortamda bir araya gelerek tek bir öğretmen tarafından ders verilmesi ile olusur. Sosyal Bilgiler bireyi hayata hazırlayan, bireyin iyi bir vatandas olarak yetismesini sağlayan, bireyin insan iliskilerini anlamasına yardımcı olarak becerilerini yetistirmeyi amaçlayan temel bir disiplindir. Bu arastırmanın temel amacı; birlestirilmis sınıflarda Sosyal Bilgiler öğretimindeki sorunları tespit ederek bu sorunların çözümleri için öneriler ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu arastırma yapılırken öğretmenlere 32 maddelik bir anket formu uygulanmıstır. Arastırmaya Samsun ?li merkez ve ilçelerinde birlestirilmis sınıflarda görev yapan 82 sınıf öğretmeni katılmıstır. Bu arastırmada elde edilen veriler bilgisayarda, istatistik programında incelenmis olup gerekli istatistiksel islemler yapılmıstır. Sonuç frekans ve yüzde değeri olarak sunulmustur. Bu arastırmanın sonucunda Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin içeriğinin öğrenci ilgi ve ihtiyaçlarına göre düzenlenmediği sonucuna ulasılmıstır. Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde çesitli öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinin kullanılmadığı, öğrenci etkinliklerinin hepsinin zamanında yapılmadığı, haftalık ders saatinin yetersiz olduğu, Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde çesitli materyallerin kullanılmadığı, hazır araç gereçlerin yetersiz olduğu, öğretmenlerin kendi hazırladıkları materyallerin yetersiz olduğu sonucuna ulasılmıstır. Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde bilgisayardan internnetten, televizyondan, VCD'den, tepegözden ve diğer teknolojik araç-gereçlerden faydalanılmadığı sonucuna iii ulasılmıstır. Sosyal Bilgiler dersi ile ilgili sınıf ve okul kitaplıklarının yetersiz olduğu, öğretmenlerin yeni yayınlara ulasamadığı, yapılan bilimsel çalısmaları takip edemedikleri ve uzman görüslerinden faydalanılmadıkları sonucuna ulasılmıstır. Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde programda belirtilen ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemlerinin hepsinin kullanılmadığı, öğrencilerin seviyelerine uygun olmadığı ve öğrenci ürün dosyasının nasıl olusturulacağının kavranmadığı sonucuna ulasılmıstır.

Unified classes are composed by the way of making more than one class come together in the same environment by one teacher?s teaching. Social studies are a discipline that prepares a person to the real life; educate him/her as a good citizen and aims to develop the abilities that helps a person to understand the human relations. The main aim of this research is to find out the problems of teaching social studies and bring out some suggestions for these problems. While making this research, we applied to teachers on inquiry form including 32 substances. 82 teachers who charged with unified classes in Samsun and its towns to this research. This datum is examined in computer statistic programme and a needed statistic procedure is available. The result of frequency is presented as percent. At the end of this research, we understood that the intent of social studies is not put into order according to the students? interest and needs. We concluded that the kinds of teaching methods and techniques are not used, almost all students? activities are not done on time, they don?t do the activities by themselves and the daily lesson time is not enough for students. And also, we concluded that variety of materials and ready-made documents are not enough. v In social studies, teachers don?t profit from computers, internet, tv, VCD, overhead projector and the other technological devices and tools. We understood that the bookcase in class and school library are not enough for social studies, teachers don?t search the new publications, don?t follow the studies and don?t profit from the expert opinions. We learned that measuring-evaluating methods are not used in social studies lesson and aren?t suitable for students? level and it is concluded that the creation of student production file isn?t comprehended enough.
