dc.description.abstractCredit card as a payment tool since it was first introduced to market has been increasing its importance both as an economic and social issue. Despite the numerous advantages of credit card usage, due to misuse by customers, wrong regulations by governments and insatiable policies carried out by banks, engendered insolvency and confiscation of credit card holders. The main aim of this paper is to focus on social and economic features of card holders so as to display the impacts of these factors on their repaying abilities and disparities on expenditures. The paper is constituted on the results of survey conducted on Samsun which is a province of Turkey in Black Sea Region. Therefore it is intended to highlight the diversities of card holders for better and efficient credit card market regulations in Turkey. © International Economic Society.en_US
