Publication: Türk ve Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrencilerde Perioküler Bölgenin Antropometrik Ölçümlerinin Fotogrametrik Olarak Karşılaştırılmalı İncelenmesi
Abstract
Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the measurements of periocular region in Turkish and foreign young adults by taking the photographs taken in comparison with the photographic images, and to establish the mean standard values of the anthropometric measurements of different races. Material and Method: Anthropometric measurements of the periocular region in 150 Turkish and 150 foreign male and female students aged between 18-25 years were performed by measuring photogrammetric. Measurement data were measured in the Frankfurt Horizontal Plane using the anthropometric and photogrammetric dots indicated in the sources. Results: Exochanthion-exochanthion (ex-ex), endochanthion-endochanthion (en-en), right exochanthion-endochanthion (right ex-en), left exochanthion-endochanthion (left ex-en), pupilla-pupilla (p-p) are the right ps-pi and left ps-pi points. These measurements respectively in Turkish individuals, 91.25±4,67 mm; 35.00±2,47 ; 28.82±5,99 mm; 28.16±2,40 mm; 63.40±3,42 mm; 10.12±1,46 mm; 9.96±1,42 mm. Mean values of individuals from Arab Countries were 93.61±4,50 mm ; 34.40±2,48 mm; 29.91±1,91 mm; 29.56±1,88 mm; 63.40±3,42 mm; 10.32±1,62 mm; 10.26±1,59 mm respectively. Mean values of individuals from Central Asia Countries were 93.06±4,49 mm; 35.09±3,14 mm; 29.26±1,69 mm; 28.72±1,68 mm; 64.23±3,71 mm; 10.03±1,30 mm and 9.87±1,19 mm respectively. Conclusion: In conclusion, the similarities and possible differences between the races were determined. Clinically, it is thought that it will be useful to the surgeons and opticions in eye surgery. Keywords: Anthropometry; Photogrammetry; Periocular Region
