Abstract
Decision-making is the investigating process to decide the best solution by evaluating usually many factors. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) one of the multi-criteria decision making methods (MCDM), is based on pair-wise comparisons of factors using the values in the range of 1-9. Many spatial decision problems as site selection, disaster risk assessments, making planning decisions, natural resource management, etc. are depend on multi-criteria. In this article, in order to contribute to future studies of the use of analytic hierarchy method for spatial decision problems, the use of this method for spatial decision making is explained by the theoretical background and the calculation procedures are shown on a sample application.
