Çorum Şehrinde Tarihsel Koruma ve Şehir Turizmine Katkıları

Abstract

Şehirlere yönelik turistik seyahatlerin giderek arttığı günümüz dünyasında turizm, şehirlerin ekonomisinde ve kalkınmasında giderek daha önemli hale gelmektedir. Bu açıdan şehirlerin, turizm gelirlerini artırmak, ulusal ve uluslararası turizmden daha fazlapay almasını sağlamak için çalışmalar yürütülmektedir. Bu çalışmada da, Çorum Şehri?ndeki tarihi yapı ve mekanların ve şehir turizmine kaynak oluşturmaları ele alınmıştır. Öncelikle şehrin geçmişten kalan tarihi yapıları belirlenmiş olup, bu yapıların korunması ve şehrin modern yaşamına ve şehir turizmine katılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada coğrafyanın ilkeleri ve araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Esas itibariyle arazi-gözlem ve mülakatlarına dayanan bu yöntemler ile Çorum Şehri?nde ve yakın çevresindeki tarihi yapı ve mekanlar belirlenmiştir. Şehrin sahip olduğu tarihi miras, korunma sorunları ele alınarak sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Çorum Şehri?ndeki tarihi yapı ve mekanların şehir turizmine ve şehir ekonomisine önemli katkı sağlayabileceği anlaşılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Şehirsel gelişim, Tarihsel koruma, Şehir turizmi, ÇorumIn today?s world where the number of touristic trips to cities is increasing, tourism is becoming more and more important in the economy and development of cities. In this respect, to increase the income of tourism and to get more share of national and international tourism, studies have been carried out.In this study, how the historical structures and places in Çorum act as a source for urban tourism is studied. Firstly, the historic fabric of the city from the past is determined, conserving this historic fabric and joining the urban tourism with its modern life are aimed. The principles of geography and its methods are used in the study. With these methods, which mainly depend on the field observations and interviews, the touristic attractiveness inside the city and its surroundings is presented. The city?s historical heritage with its conservation issues is examined and solutions are presented for the current troubles. In consequence of the study, it?s understood that Çorum is in a condition which can contribute to the city?s tourism economy and it is needed to be considered for development.Keywords: Urban development, Historical conservation, Urban Tourism, Çorum.
