Lise Coğrafya Dersi Öğretim Programındaki Siyasi Coğrafya Konularına İlişkin Öğrenci Başarılarının ve Tutumlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Ülkelerin, dünya siyasetinde ekonomik ve siyasal yönden güçlü olmaları açısından coğrafya biliminin önemi büyüktür. Coğrafyanın alt dallarından biri olan siyasi coğrafya günümüzde tüm dünyada en fazla ilgi duyulan bilim dallarından biri olarak karşımıza çıkar. Fiziki coğrafya, beşeri coğrafya ve ekonomik coğrafyanın kesişimi konumunda bulunan siyasi coğrafyanın, Türkiye'de Coğrafya Dersi Öğretim Programında, son müfredat değişiklikleri ile birlikte yeni yer bulmaya başlamış olması, siyasi coğrafya öğretimi üzerine yapılan çalışmaların azlığı önemli bir problem olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu araştırmada Coğrafya Dersi Öğretim Programında yer alan siyasi coğrafya konularına ilişkin öğrenci başarılarının ve tutumlarının öğretmen görüşleri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel durum çalışması modelindeki bu araştırma 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında gerçekleştirilmiş olup, araştırmanın çalışma grubunu farklı okul türlerinde görev yapan 20 coğrafya öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Görüşme yönteminin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak görüşme formu kullanılmış ve görüşmeler sonucu ulaşılan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda lise öğrencilerin büyük bölümünün siyasi coğrafyaya karşı ilgili olduğu ve siyasi coğrafya konularında başarılarının yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The importance of the science of the geography is big with regard to the countries are strong as economical and political in the politics of the word. We see that the political geography, one of the subbranches of the geography is one of the science branches, interested in all over the word at the present time. The political geography, in the position of the intersection of the physical geography, human geography and economical geography began to take place with the last curriculum changes in the education program of geography lesson in Turkey. We see that the rarity of the studies done about the education of the political geographyis important problem. It was aimed to be evaivated the successes and the attitudes of the students in regard to the subjects of the political geography in the education program of geography lesson in the direction of the views of the teacher in this search. This search in the model of the qualitative sitiation stady was realised in 2018-2019 edecation year and twenty geography teacher from different school types constitute the study group of the search. The interview method was used in this search. An interview guide inciuding structured questions was used and the datas reached as a result of the interviews was analyzed with the method of the content analysis. That the most of the highschool students are interested in the political geography and their successes about the subjects political geographyare high were ascertained.
