Ortaokul Öğrencilerinde Kariyer Gelecek Zaman Perspektifi: Öz-yeterlik ve Sonuç Beklentisinin Aracı Rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışmada ortaokul öğrencilerinde kariyer gelecek zaman perspektifi, meslek kararı verme öz- yeterliği, kariyer araştırma sonuç beklentisi ve sosyal destek arasındaki ilişki incelenmiş, sosyal destek ve kariyer gelecek zaman perspektifi arasındaki ilişkide meslek kararı verme öz-yeterliği ve kariyer araştırma sonuç beklentisinin aracılık etkisine bakılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Giresun ili içerisinde sekizinci sınıfta öğrenim gören öğrenciler arasında amaçlı örneklem yöntemine göre seçilmiş 1507 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk aşaması olan ölçek geliştirme sürecinde AFA için 547, DFA için 424 ve daha sonrasında Yapısal Eşitlik Model testi için 536 ayrı veri toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri Meslek Kararı Verme Yetkinlik Ölçeği, Kariyer Araştırma Sonuç Beklentisi Ölçeği, Çocuk ve Ergenler İçin Sosyal Destek Değerlendirme Ölçeği, Kariyer Gelecek Zaman Perspektifi Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından Kariyer Gelecek Zaman Perspektifi ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında toplanan verilerin betimsel ve korelasyonel istatistikleri SPSS 24.0 programı ile, Yapısal Eşitlik Modellemesi (YEM) ise AMOS 22.0 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Ortaokul öğrencilerinde kariyer gelecek zaman perspektifi ile meslek kararı verme öz-yeterliği, kariyer araştırma sonuç beklentisi ve sosyal destek arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmaktadır. Sosyal destek ile kariyer gelecek zaman perspektifi arasındaki ilişkide öz-yeterliğin aracı rolü bulunmaktadır. Sosyal destek ile kariyer gelecek zaman perspektifi arasındaki ilişkide sonuç beklentisinin aracı rolü bulunmaktadır. Her iki değişkenin de kısmı aracılık etkisi bulunmaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlar kuramsal alan yazın ve ilgili araştırma sonuçları kapsamında değerlendirilerek tartışılmış; araştırmacılara bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this study, the relationship between career future time perspective, career decision-making self-efficacy, career research outcome expectation and social support in secondary school students was examined, and the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy and career research outcome expectation on the relationship between social support and career future time perspective was examined. The sample of the research consists of 1507 students selected according to the purposeful sampling method among eighth grade students in Giresun province in the 2021-2022 academic year. During the scale development process, which was the first phase of the study, 547 separate data were collected for EFA, 424 for CFA and later 536 for the Structural Equation Model test. Research data were collected with the Career Decision Making Competence Scale, Career Research Outcome Expectation Scale, Social Support Evaluation Scale for Children and Adolescents, Career Future Time Perspective Scale. The Career Future Time Perspective scale was developed by the researcher. Descriptive and correlational statistics of the data collected within the scope of the study were analyzed with SPSS 24.0 program, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was analyzed with AMOS 22.0 program. There is a positive significant relationship between career future time perspective and career decision-making self-efficacy, career research outcome expectation and social support in secondary school students. Self-efficacy has a mediating role in the relationship between social support and career future time perspective. Outcome expectancy has a mediating role in the relationship between social support and career future time perspective. Both variables have a partial mediation effect. The results obtained were evaluated and discussed within the scope of theoretical literature and relevant research results; Some suggestions have been made to researchers.
