Food Contents of Pasific Mullet (Mugil So-Iuy, Basilevsky, 1855) Fillets Which Caught in Sinop Cost

Abstract

Pacific mullets (Mugil so-iuy, Basilevsky, 1855), caught with surround trammel net in Sinop were investigated for female, male and general samples. Fish fillets were cut in to five regions, and crude lipids, protein, dry matter and ash amounts were determined in each region. The mean lipid 3.58%; protein 15.52%; dry matter 19.92% and ash 1.01% were found in Pacific mullet. In this research, maximum crude lipid were (4.20 +/- 0.01 for female; 4.60 +/- 0.02 for male) in abdomen regions and minimum (2.75 +/- 0.10 for female; 2.98 +/- 0.02 for male) in tail regions.
