Postmodernizmin Modernizme Karşıt Söylemlerinde İnsan ve Sanat

Abstract

20.yüzyılın ikinci yarısından sonra yaşanan toplumsal ve ekonomik değişimler, modernizmin ötesinde postmodernizm olarak adlandırılan yeni bir dönemin içinde olduğumuza işaret etmektedir. Postmodernizm, modern kültüre ait büyük anlatılardan kuşku duyarak sorgulayan, küçük anlatılar sunarken kendi parçalı, çoklu, dağınık biçimdeki varlığını ortaya koyan radikal bir düşünce tarzıdır. Dolayısıyla, akademik ve entelektüel dünyada postmodernizme dair çok fazla tartışma meydana gelmekte ve halen devam etmektedir. İletişim, enformasyon ve bilişim alanında gerçekleşen hızlı değişimler küreselleşme adı altında yeni yapılanmaların gündeme gelmesini sağlamıştır. Bu yapılanmalar sanat kavramının sorgulanarak yeni bir çözülme süreci yaşamasına neden olmuş, sanatsal zevk ve estetiğin dayandığı temel değerleri değiştirmiş, bireyin yaşamı algılayışını farklılaştırmış ve kimlik oluşumlarını etkilemiştir. Dolayısıyla, sanatın ve sanatçı kimliklerinin bu anlayış içerisindeki dönüşümünü incelemek, sanatın bugününü ve geleceğini anlama noktasında önemli dinamikler olarak düşünülmekte, bireyin sanatsal üretim sürecine ve sanat anlayışına etkisini belirlemek araştırmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, küresel sermayenin denetimindeki postmodernizmin masum bir söylem olmaktan ziyade kültürü, bireyi ve sanatı parçalayarak kimliksiz bir toplum oluşturmayı hedefleyen tasarlanmış bir ideoloji olduğu düşüncesine varılmıştır.

Social and economic changes experienced after the second half of the 20th century has led to the discourse called postmodernism to become a current issue suggesting that we are in a new era beyond modernism. While this discourse expresses itself with counter-views towards modernism, it avoids being tied to specific policy. Postmodernism is a radical way of thinking that questions modernism and is skeptical of grand narratives of modern culture and reveal its scattered, fragmented, multiple presence while offering small narratives. Accordingly, much debate occurs and is still ongoing about postmodernism in the academic and intellectual world. Rapid changes taking place in the field of communication, information and informatics led to the deletion of the concept of space and enabled new structures to come to the fore under the name of globalization. These structures has led to a new resolution process by questioning the art concept, changed the basic values that the joy and aesthetic based upon, has differentiated the life perception of the individual and effected the identity formation. Hence, investigating the transformation of art and artist's identities within this perception, has been thought as important dynamics in relation to understanding the art of today and the future; determining the effect of individual's artistic production process and understanding of art is the objective of the study. It was concluded form the study that postmodernism that is under control of the global capital is not an innocent discourse and it is a designed ideology which aims to build a community without identity by breaking down the culture, individual and art.
