Abstract
Bu çalısmanın amacı, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danısma Bölümü ögrencilerine verilen Duygusal Zeka Düsünme Becerileri Egitiminin, Empatik Beceri düzeylerine etkisini arastırmaktır. Bu arastırmanın örneklemi, 2006-2007 ögretim yılında OMÜ Egitim Fakültesi Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danısma bölümünde, I. ve II. ögretim grubunda 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıflarda, ögrenim gören 447 ögrenciden olusmaktadır. Arastırmada 'Empatik Beceri Ölçegi B Formu' (Dökmen 1988) kullanılmıstır. Ölçekten aldıkları puan ortalamalarına göre; 20 ögrenci seçilerek, deney ve kontrol grupları olusturulmustur. Deney grubunda yer alan 10 ögrenciye 12 hafta boyunca 1?1,5 saat süreli egitim verilmistir. statistiksel analizler sonucunda verilen Duygusal Zeka Düsünme Becerileri Egitiminin deney grubundaki ögrencilerin Empatik Beceri düzeylerini arttırdıgı görülmüstür. Elde edilen bulgular literatür ısıgında yorumlanmıs ve önerilerde bulunulmustur.
This study explores the effect of the Education of Thinking Skills of Emotional Intelligence Education on empathy skill levels of the students at the department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. The study aimed to examine empathy skill levels in Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Education Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department students in years 1, 2, 3 and 4 including 447 students at the morning and evening groups. Empathy skill scale, form B (Dökmen 1988) was used in this research. For experimental and control groups, 20 students were chosen according to the average scores they got from the scale. The experimental group was instructed about 1-1,5 hours during 12 weeks. Statistical analysis showed that the empathy skills of test group was developed after the Thinking Skills of Emotional Intelligence training. The given findings were interpreted through literature, and some suggestions were given.
