dc.description.abstractIn this study, N-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)aminoglyoxime (DMPGH<inf>2</inf>), N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)aminoglyoxime (DCPGH<inf>2</inf>), N,N′-bis(3,4-dimethylphenyl)diaminoglyoxime (BDMPGH<inf>2</inf>) and N,N′-bis(3,4-dichorophenyl)diaminoglyoxime (BDCPGH<inf>2</inf>) have been synthesised from anti-chloroglyoxime or anti-dichloroglyoxime and the corresponding substituted aromatic amines in ethanol. Their complexes with Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) have been obtained. Structures of the ligands and complexes are proposed based on IR, 1H NMR spectra, magnetic measurements and elemental analyses. The Ni(II), Cu(II) complexes are square-planar while the Co(II) complexes are octahedral.en_US
