Publication: Gerze Tavuğunda Majör Doku Uyumluluk Kompleksi (Mhc) Polimorfizminin Mikrosatellit Markörler ile Karakterizasyonu
Abstract
In this study, 43 spicements from Gerze breed which are under protection of Gerze District Directorate of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and 50 pure strain genotypes which are obtained from Poultry Research Institute of Turkey were analysed in respect to polymorphism states in MCW0371 and LEI0258 microstallite locuses which are declared connect with resistance. MCW0371 locus is shown monomorphism in all speciments but LEI0258 is shown very high rates of polymorphism. The number of alleles detected in the LEI0258 locus in Gerze and Pure line populations were 18,11; the observed degree of heterozygosity was determined as 0,721, 0,349, respectively. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the Gerze population is a valuable genetic resource that can be used in breeding studies in chicken.
