Abstract

Warfarin is one of the most common oral anticoagulant used today. Although bleeding is the primary adverse effect of warfarin, diffuse alveolar hemorrhage is a rare condition. Here we report the clinical and imaging findings of a 53 year-old male patient who rapidly developed diffuse alveolar hemorrhage after an overdose of warfarin for mitral stenosis and atrial fibrillation.
