Lise Öğrencilerinin Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algıları İle Şiddete Yönelik Tutumları Arasındaki İlişki

Abstract

Bu yüksek lisans tezi lise öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet algılarını ve bu algıların öğrencilerin şiddete yönelik tutumları üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Ordu ilinde çeşitli liselerde öğrenim görmekte olan 786 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama sürecinde Ergenlerin Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ergen Formu kullanılmıştır. Veri analizinde SPSS 25.0 paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri analizi sürecinde bağımsız gruplar arası t-testi, pearson korelasyon testi, basit doğrusal regresyon testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları lise öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet algılarının şiddet eğilimleri üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Araştırmaya göre geleneksel toplumsal cinsiyet algısının şiddete yönelik tutumun istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif yönlü bir yordayıcısı olduğu (= .57 t(1,785) = 19.581, p < .01), eşitlikçi toplumsal cinsiyet algısının ise şiddete yönelik tutumun istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönlü bir yordayıcısı olduğu tespit edilmiştir (= -.41 t(1,785) = -12.677, p < .01). Araştırma bulguları literatür çerçevesinde tartışılmış, elde edilen sonuçlara göre araştırmacılara, ebeveynlere ve öğretmenlere önerilerde bulunulmuştur. The sample of the the study is based on 786 high school students from various high schools in Ordu. Adolescents' Attitudes Towards Violence Scale and Gender Perception Scale Adolescent Form were used in the data collection process. SPSS 25.0 package program was used in data analysis. Sample T-Test, Pearson Correlation Test and Simple Linear Regression tests were used in the data analysis process. The findings of the study showed that high school students' gender perceptions had a significant effect on their violence tendencies. According to the research, traditional gender perception is a statistically significant and positive predictor of attitude towards violence (= .57 t(1,785) = 19.581, p < .01), whereas egalitarian gender perception is a statistically significant and negative predictor of attitude towards violence. (= -.41 t(1.785) = - 12,677, p < .01). The research findings were discussed within the framework of the literature, and suggestions were made to researchers, parents and teachers according to the results obtained.
