Abstract

The PPh<inf>2</inf>P(S)NHP(S)PPh<inf>2</inf> (dppaS<inf>2</inf>) ligand reacts with the starting complexes PtCl2(L-L) (L-L = Ph<inf>2</inf>PCH <inf>2</inf>PPh<inf>2</inf>), (dppm), Ph<inf>2</inf>PCH<inf>2</inf>CH <inf>2</inf>PPh<inf>2</inf> (dppe), Ph<inf>2</inf>PCH<inf>2</inf>CH <inf>2</inf>CH<inf>2</inf>PPh<inf>2</inf> (dppp), and NaClO<inf>4</inf>H <inf>2</inf>O. Final products are monomeric complexes, and their formulas are [Pt(L-L)(dppaS<inf>2</inf>-H)] [(L-L = dppm(1), dppe(2), dppp(3)]. All of these have been characterized by 1H, 13C,31{P1H} NMR, FTIR, and elemental analysis. These complexes were also examined by TGA, DTA, and DSC analysis. Complexes 2 and 3 were crystallographically characterized. Copyright © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
