Cumhuriyetten Günümüze Samsun'da Hafızlık Eğitimi

Abstract

Kur'an-ı Kerim'in tilâveti ve tedrisi, Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) döneminden itibaren büyük bir hassasiyetle yürütülmüş; ev, mescid, okul gibi çeşitli ortamlarda farklı usûllerle öğretilmiştir. Bu mahaller, günümüzde Kur'an Kursu olarak adlandırılabilecek yapılarla benzerlik arz etmektedir. Müslümanın hayatını şekillendiren Kur'an, doğru ve sahih bir okuyuşla öğrenilmesi gereken ilâhî bir rehberdir. Bu doğrultuda erken dönemlerden itibaren sahâbîler farklı beldelere gönderilmiş; 'dâru'l-Kur'an' ve 'dâru'l-huffâz' gibi teşkilatlanmalarla eğitim faaliyetleri kurumsallaşmıştır. Osmanlı devrinde bu yapılar 'dâru'lkurrâ' adıyla sistematik ve bağımsız bir hüviyet kazanmıştır. Cumhuriyet'in ilanıyla birlikte dâru'lkurrâlar fonksiyonlarını büyük ölçüde yitirirken, 1924'te kurulan Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı ile birlikte bu alandaki faaliyetler yeniden resmî bir yapıya kavuşturulmuştur. 1950'li yıllardan itibaren Kur'an kurslarının sayısında kayda değer bir artış yaşanmış, özellikle yatılı Kur'an kursları bu sistemin merkezî unsurlarından biri hâline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda hazırlanan çalışmada, Samsun ili merkezli hâfızlık kurslarının tarihsel gelişimi, uygulanan yöntemler ve bu alanın genel yapıya sağladığı katkılar incelenmiştir. Kurs sayısı ve yetiştirdiği başarılı hâfızlar bakımından Samsun, ülke genelinde dikkat çeken şehirler arasında yer almakta; on yedi ilçesinden on altısında faaliyet gösteren otuz beş yatılı merkez ve altı proje kursuyla Türkiye sıralamasında ilk beş içerisinde bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca ulusal düzeyde düzenlenen yarışmalarda elde edilen birincilikler ve diğer dereceler, bu başarıyı somutlaştırmaktadır. Bunun yanında, özel girişimler ve bireysel gayretlerle yürütülen çalışmalar da bölgedeki hâfızlık faaliyetlerine çeşitlilik kazandırmaktadır. Tüm bu başarı tablolarına rağmen Samsun'daki Kur'an kurslarının eğitim süreçlerine, başarı kriterlerine ve karşılaşılan zorluklara yönelik akademik incelemelerin yeterince yapılmadığı görülmektedir. Bu tezde, söz konusu boşluğu doldurmak amacıyla, ilin tarihî birikimi, güncel durumu ve uygulanan metotlar bütüncül bir yaklaşımla ele alınmış; sadece Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı'na bağlı resmî yapılar değil, aynı zamanda özel teşebbüsler ve bireysel çabaların da Kur'an eğitimine sağladığı katkılar ortaya konulmuştur. Özellikle yatılı erkek ve kız öğrencilerin eğitim gördüğü kursların seyri, Samsun örneği çerçevesinde kapsamlı biçimde incelenmiştir.

The recitation and teaching of the Holy Quran has been carried out with great sensitivity since the time of the Prophet (pbuh) and has been taught with different methods in various environments such as homes, mosques and schools. These occasions are educational areas that can be considered as Quran courses in today's terms. The Quran, which shapes the life of a Muslim, is a divine guide that must be learned with correct and authentic reading. In this context, throughout history, companions were sent to different regions for the purpose of Quranic education; educational centers such as 'dâru'l-Qur'ân' and 'dâru'l-huffâz' were established. During the Ottoman period, these structures were transformed into independent institutions called 'dâru'lkurrâ'. While the dâru'lkurrâs lost their function with the proclamation of the Republic, an attempt was made to re-establish Quranic education within an institutional framework with the establishment of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in 1924. Since the 1950s, the number of Quran courses and educational activities have increased; today, especially boarding Quran memorization courses have become one of the central elements of this system. In this study, the historical development of Quran memorization courses in Samsun province, and their educational methods and contributions to this field are discussed. Samsun stands out as one of the leading cities in Turkey in terms of both the number of Qur'ān courses and the success of its graduates. With thirty-five boarding Quran memorization courses and six project memorization courses operating in sixteen of its seventeen districts, Samsun is among the top five cities in Quran education. In addition, many awards were obtained, including the first-place rankings in Türkiye, in the Quran memorization competitions held throughout the country. However, despite these successes, it is seen that academic studies on the educational processes of Quran courses in Samsun, their success levels and the problems they face are insufficient. In this thesis, the historical courses, status and education methods of Quran memorization courses in Samsun have been revealed; the contributions of official institutions affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs as well as private and individual initiatives to Quran education in the region have been detailed. In particular, the development of boarding the Quran courses for boys and girls has been studied extensively in Samsun.
