Türkiye'de Makroekonomik Faktörlerin İlk Halka Arz Faaliyetleri Üzerindeki Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye'de 1990-2017 dönemine ilişkin aylık verilerden yararlanarak, seçilmiş makroekonomik faktörlerin İlk Halka Arz (İHA) faaliyetleri üzerindeki etkisinin araştırılmasıdır. Makroekonomik değişkenler olarak; BİST 100 endeksi, döviz kuru, enflasyon, faiz, likidite, Sanayi Üretim Endeksi (SUE) ve volatilite değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. İHA faaliyetlerinin göstergesi olarak ise; İHA Sayısı ve İHA Ortalama Hasılatı değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma bulgularına göre; İHA sayıları ve İHA ortalama hasılatları ile BİST 100 endeksi, enflasyon, faiz, döviz kuru, likidite, SUE ve volatilite değişkenleri arasında uzun dönemli bir eşbütünleşme ilişkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Kısa dönemde ise, BİST 100 endeksindeki artış, İHA sayısını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olarak etkilemekle birlikte etkinin yönü belirgin değildir. SUE'deki artış, İHA sayısını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönde etkilemektedir. BİST 100 endeksi ve SUE'deki artışlar, İHA ortalama hasılatını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif yönde etkilemektedir. Bu sonuçlar, ekonomik büyümeye paralel olarak daha az fakat, daha yüksek potansiyelli firmalarca daha başarılı halka arzlar gerçekleştirildiğini; paylarını halka arz ederek borsada işlem görmek isteyen firmaların, hem olumlu ekonomik büyüme dönemlerinden hem de Borsa İstanbul'daki yükseliş trendlerinden yararlandıklarını göstermektedir.

The main aim of this study was benefiting from the monthly data for the 1990-2017 period in Turkey to investigate the impact of macroeconomic factors selected IPO activities. As macroeconomic variables; BIST 100 index, exchange rate, inflation, interest rate, liquidity, industrial production index and volatility were used. As an indicator of the IPO activities; IPO number and IPO avarage proceeds variables were used. According to the study findings; It is concluded that there is a long-term cointegration relationship between IPO numbers and IPO average proceeds and BIST 100 index, inflation, interest rate, exchange rate, liquidity, industrial production index and volatility variables. İn the short term, although the increase in the BIST 100 index significantly affected the number of IPOs, the direction of the impact was not significant. The increase in the industrial production index affects the number of IPOs statistically significant and negatively. The increases in the BIST 100 index and industrial production index affect the average proceeds of the IPO significantly and positively. These results show that, in parallel with the economic growth, more successful public offerings have been realized by companies with higher potentials; companies that want to be traded on the stock exchange, show that they benefit from both positive economic growth periods and rising trends in Borsa İstanbul.
