This study was done for determining efficiency of planned education given to school girls relating to menstrual hygiene behaviors and the effect on their learning and forgetting levels. This study was performed in a single group according to pre-test/post-test experimental type at a high school between 01.11.2007 and 01.08.2008. 408 school girls studying in a high school were included in the study at Turkey. Hygiene behaviors were measured after 1 month (learning) and 3 months (forgetting). According to the data obtained, it was found that the education affected hygiene behaviors in the 1 st observation (p<0.001) and forgetting is very less after the education in the 2 nd observation (p<0.001). At the end of the study, it was seen that the education given to school girls about menstrual hygiene behaviors is effective, girls practice hygiene behaviors, learning the behaviors is high and forgetting level is very less.en_US
