dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is the determination of the prevailing conditions, characteristics and problems of commercial greenhouse growing in the Black Sea region. For this purpose, Samsun, Ordu, Giresun and Amasya were selected, Potentials, types and structural conditons of the greenhouses were determined. It was established that there are more than 5790 greenhouses, 75 percent of have an average floor area of 150-200 m2. The heating and ventilation needs for greenhouses in this region, which commonly have floor areas of 150-200 m2, were determined. Calculations were made in order to determine the type of greenhouses suitable for this region.and suggestions were made to greenhouse farmers in the region.en_US
