Abstract
Bu çalışmada yararlandığımız öncelikli kaynaklar, Plantinga'nın Nicholas Wolterstorff ile birlikte kaleme aldığı 'Faith and Rationality' adlı eser ile birlikte son dönem epistemik fikirlerinin çerçevesini belirleyen üç ciltlik 'Warrant and Proper Function', 'Warrant: The Current Debate', 'Warranted: Christian Belief' isimli eserler olmuştur.
Alvin Plantinga is a philosopher who grew up with the idea of analytical philosophy and contributed to the formation of the theological philosophy of religion in this tradition. In addition, he is a figure who has earned a rightful reputation with his work for the defense of theism, honors from various universities and the Templeton Prize in 2017. The most important aim of this study is to make a determination about the succession of these ideas, by analyzing Plantinga's work on religious epistemology. The primary sources we used in this study were the three-volume which determined the framework of his recent epistemic ideas; Warrant and Proper Function, Warrant: The Current Debate, Warranted: Christian Belief, which included Plantinga's Faith and Rationality, together with Nicholas Wolterstorff. Whereas Classical fundamentalism and evidentialism, which we can denominate them as some kind of a negation, create Plantinga's first term aim of epistemological studies, in the second term with the aid of those critics, he tended towards a purpose to indicate that believing God is on the right principle and had the warranty. The Calvin ecole, also forms the essence of Plantinga's religious epistemology. When we consider Plantinga's religious epistemology in two dimensions, although he is interested in the Christian faith inwardly, the external aspect of his work is more generally combined of God of theism and his rationality. Clearly, the epistemological entire corpus of Plantinga brings a kind of concept prosperousness. To the extent of our study, the concepts such as proper functionality, design plan, warrant, have revealed how determined the belief of God was to put the epistemic essence. As a result, Plantinga, who expressed that the belief in God and his knowledge could be rational, does not exclude other sects, no matter how much he belongs to a particular branch of the Christian faith. In addition, as Plantinga states in his many studies, he indicates that his projects also cover other theistic religions such as Jewism, Islam etc…
