Morphological and Anatomical Studies on the Some Species of Thymus L.(Labiatae) Distributed in Karadeniz Region

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Karadeniz bölgesinde yayılış gösteren bazı Thymus L.(Kekik) taksonlarmın morfolojik ve anatomik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Türlerin tanımları morfolojik karakterlere göre yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Türlerin çizimleri ile birlikte, taksonomik tartışmaları da verilmiştir. Anatomik araştırmalar kök, gövde, yaprak enine ve yüzeysel kesitleri üzerinde yapılmıştır.In this study, morphological and anatomical characteristics of some species of Thymus L. (Labiatae) distributed in Karadeniz region have been investigated and discussed. Descriptions of the species have been evaluated according to morphological characteristics. Illustrations of taxa were added to other information. Furthermore, taxonomic discussion for some species were given. Anatomical studies were carried out on transversal sections which were obtained from roots, stems and leaves and surfacial sections of leaves.
