dc.description.abstractThe crystal packing of the title compound, C<inf>13</inf>H <inf>10</inf>O<inf>2</inf>N<inf>2</inf>, is stabilized by one N - H⋯N and two C - H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonds and also by two C - H⋯π interactions. The N - H⋯N and C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate an edge-fused R<inf>3</inf>3(19) ring motif and the phthalide section of the molecule is planar. The dihedral angle between the phthalide group and the pyridyl ring is 87.28(10)°. © 2006 International Union of Crystallography. All rights reserved.en_US
