Türkiye'de 1990 Sonrası Ulus İnşa Sürecinin Sinema Üzerinden İncelenmesi

Abstract

Modern devletin ortaya çıkışını takiben artan sanayileşme ve teknoloji, coğrafi sınırların belirsizleşmesi ve dünya siyasetinin neoliberal beklenti ve ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda yeniden şekillenmesi anlamını taşımıştır. Günümüzde adına küreselleşme süreci denilen bu durum, devletlerin yeni siyasete uygun rollere bürünmesini gerektirmekteyken; eşzamanlı olarak devletlerin himayesi altında olan toplumların da değişim ve dönüşüm sürecini geçirmelerine olanak sağlamıştır. Neoliberal politikaların, söz konusu tüm alanlarda giderek daha fazla güç kazanmasını takiben; mikro ölçekte birey makro ölçekte ise ulus yapısı, bir devlete aidiyet hisseden yapıdan çok hakları temelinde kendine yer bulan bir yapıya evrilmiş durumdadır. Toplumsal yapının bir parçasını oluşturan bireylerin kaleminden çıkan sinema ise; siyasal, toplumsal ve sanatsal alanda söz konusu değişim ve dönüşümlerin okunmasını mümkün kılan yapısıyla kendine özel bir yer edinmiştir. Tezin ortaya çıkış noktasını oluşturan bu düşünce doğrultusunda bu tez ile; Türkiye'de, toplumsal ve siyasal sahada yaşanan ulus inşa sürecinin sinema filmleri üzerinden analizini yapmak amaçlanmaktadır. 1990 ve 2017 yılları arasında sınırlandırılan çalışmanın evrenini 'Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti'nde Yaşayan Bireyler' oluşturmaktayken; örneklem ise '1990 ve 2017 Yılları Arasında Türk Halkının En Çok İzlediği Sinema Filmlerinden' oluşmaktadır. Son tahlilde bu tez ile; vicdanın yerini rekabetin aldığı, farklılıkların benzerliklere evrildiği, cumhuriyetçi vatandaştan ziyade liberal bireyci vatandaşa geçişin görüldüğü, ödev ve sorumluluklardan ziyade hakların önem arz ettiği ve sosyal bağların çıkar anlaşmaları ile yer değiştirdiği bir ulus tahayyülünden bahsetmek mümkündür. Filmler gibi, görsel ve işitsel yapıtların teze kaynaklık etmesinin temel gerekçesi; filmlerin sosyolojik ve tarihsel açıdan devasa bir arşiv niteliği taşıyor olması ve milli hafıza ile hassasiyetlerin ortaya konmasının yegâne yollarından birini oluşturmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. Sinema sanatının, diğer sanat dallarının hitap ettiği sınırlı seyirci sayısının aksine binlerce insanı aynı anda yönlendirme gerçeğinden hareketle söz konusu filmler karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınacak ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden karşılaştırmalı içerik analizi yöntemi çalışmaya uygulanacaktır.Increasing industrialization and technology following the emergence of the modern state meant that geographical boundaries have become ambiguous and the world politics has been reshaped in line with neoliberal expectations and needs. While this situation, which is called globalization process today, requires states to take roles that are suitable for new politics; it also allowed communities under the auspices of states to undergo the process of change and transformation. Following neoliberal policies gaining more and more power in all these areas; individual structure on a micro-scale, national structure on a macro-scale have evolved into a structure that finds its place on the basis of its rights rather than a structure that feels belonging to a state. The cinema that comes out of the writings of individuals who form part of the social structure; has gained a special place with its structure that makes it possible to read these changes and transformations in the political, social and artistic fields. In line with this idea, which constitutes the origin point of the thesis, with this thesis; it is aimed to analyse the nation-building process in the social and political field in Turkey through the films. While the universe of the study restricted between 1990 and 2017 is formed by 'Individuals living in the Republic of Turkey', the sample consists of 'The Most Watched Cinema Movies Between Turkish People Between 1990 and 2017'. In the final analysis, with this thesis; it is possible to talk about a imagination of a nation where the conscience has been replaced by competition, differences have evolved into similarities, the transition to a liberal individualist citizen rather than a republican citizen, the rights are more important than duties and responsibilities, and social ties are replaced by agreements of interest. The main rationale for the visual and audio works, like films, to have been used as a resource to the thesis; it is due to the fact that the films have a huge sociologically and historically enormous archivel feature and constitute only one of the ways of revealing national memory and sensitivities. Contrary to the limited number of audience addressed by other art branches, the fact that cinema art addresses thousands of people at the same time, the mentioned films will be handled comparatively and comparative content analysis method which is one of the research methods will be applied in the study.
