Cumhuriyet Dönemi'nde Türk Kadınının Ekonomideki Rolü (1923-1946)

Abstract

Çalışmada Türk kadınının geçirdiği gelişim ve dönüşümün hangi evrelerden geçtiği ve bu evreler çerçevesinde kadının ekonomiye sunduğu katkısını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla da kadınların Cumhuriyet'in kuruluşundan İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonuna kadar olan tarihsel süreçte ekonomik hayat içerisindeki yerleri çalışmanın kapsamı olarak belirlenmiştir. Özellikle çalışmanın ana temasının yanı sıra, tarihte Türk kadınının hangi koşullar altında ne durumda olduğu açıklanarak dönemler hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Çalışma, dört bölüm üzerinden oluşturulmuştur. Birinci bölüm giriş kısmından oluşmaktadır. Tezin ikinci bölümünde Türk kadınının tarih sayfalarındaki yeri, eğitimi, sosyal ve siyasi hayatı ele alınarak açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm tezin ana kısmını oluşturmaktadır. Bölümde Cumhuriyet'in ilanı ile kadının ekonomi içerisinde yerini daha iyi görebilmek adına dönemin ekonomisine dair bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra kadınların Cumhuriyet'in ilanı ile geçirdiği gelişim, çalışma hayatları ve koşulları, hangi alanlarda istihdam edildikleri vb. konular açıklanmıştır. Tezin dördüncü ve son bölümü ise dönemin önde gelen, örnek teşkil edebilecek kadınların hayatları hakkında bilgilerden oluşmaktadır.In this study, it is aimed to determine the stages of the development and transformation of Turkish women and the contribution of women to the economy within the framework of these stages. To achieve this aim, the scope of the study is determined as the placement of women in economic life throughout the historical period from the proclamation of the Republic to the end of World War II. Alongside exploring the main theme of this study, the conditions and respective statuses of Turkish women throughout history is elucidated by giving information about the periods. This study is comprised of four chapters. The first chapter constitutes the introductory section. In the second chapter of this study, the status of Turkish women in the pages of history, educational, social and political life are discussed and explained. The third chapter constitutes the main subject of the study. In this section, information about the economy of the period is provided in order to better understand the place of women in the economy with the proclamation of the Republic. Additionally, there are the details about the evolution of women with the proclamation of the Republic, their working lives and conditions, and the areas in which they were employed etc. are explained. The fourth and final chapter of this consists of information about the biographies of the leading exemplary women of the period.
